About the Owner: Mark Shaffar

Mark Shaffar is a University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing graduate and military veteran. He worked in China for 14 years and purchased Hannah’s House West in 2015. Until 2022 he worked as a registered nurse at Capitol Lakes Retirement in their rehab and skilled nursing centers. In his spare time he enjoys studying languages such as Greek, Hebrew or Chinese, and parenting his 4 kids. Mark has a Master’s of Divinity from Bethel Seminary and has a heart for hospice care and sees the beauty of connecting with people during their final days.
